Cupping with Massage
Cupping therapy is an ancient form of Ayurveda, but the therapy is more so used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) to remove stagnation in the body and stimulate the flow of energy (Qi). It involves placing cups on the skin to create suction, and this suction improves Qi and facilitate healing.
Cupping may cause temporary bruising and soreness, but this is often a sign that the treatment has been successful in removing toxins and stagnation!
Massage therapy is great for reducing muscle tension, relieving stress, and promoting relaxation, as well as for treating injuries. Because of its considerable ability to loosen fascia / connective tissue, cupping goes very well with massage therapy. Together, the two therapies will encourage blood flow to certain areas of the body to a great extent.
